A number of years ago when I was getting into sewing I decided to make my own reusable pads for having my period be less plastic-based & throw-away. I no longer need these and thought I'd see if anyone wants to give them a try. Not as nice as the stuff on gladrags.com, but MUCH cheaper. :)

There are 2 big ones, 4 medium, 3 liners, and a storage bag, all made from cotton flannel and quality snaps. I'll send them free to the lower 48, talk to me about sharing shipping costs if further.

Funny, I just ordered a set from "Party in my pants (http://partypantspads.com/)". I'm interested in reducing the volume of trash, plus even though the initial outlay is a little steep it'll earn itself back after a few months. I was wondering if there was a pattern to make your own--but not interested in attempting to make them myself. I have no delusions about my crafty skills.

I dunno, maybe some of you had light periods.

I can't imagine, given some of my heavy periods when I was younger, to use cloth pads. 'Course I believe my mother in China ..this would be back in
1940's, did.

Yes I'd like them if they are available! Since I started using the Diva Cup, I need very little in the way of pad.

Great, AndiXT, they're yours! I sent you a PM to get your address.

And Melalvai, not sure about the patterns, a couple of us just studied them in Whole Foods and gave it a shot. Not exactly sewing a shirt or something hard.

And shootingstar, yeah, I could see if v. heavy they wouldn't be comfortable, but I have been fairly lucky that way, and just keep trying to reduce trash.
