We are happy to announce that registration is now open for the 2011 Alta Alpina Challenge: Riding the Wild Sierra (http://www.altaalpina.org/challenge/) presented by the Alta Alpina Cycling Club (http://www.altaalpina.org).

The Alta Alpina Challenge: Riding the Wild Sierra offers a variety of challenges for any level of rider.
The 8 Pass Challenge is a California Triple Crown ride and just may be the "Worlds Toughest Double Century" at 198 miles and 20,300 ft of climbing including the famous summits such as Kingsbury, Carson, Luther, Blue Lakes, Monitor and Ebbetts.
The 5 Pass Challenge features passes made famous by the Markleeville Tour of the CA Alps (aka the Death Ride) but in reverse.
The Wild Sierra Century includes 3 passes, 101 miles and 12,000 ft of climbing in the heart of the Tahoe Sierra.
The Wild Sierra Metric offers 2 passes, 64 miles and 5,000 ft of climbing.
