I got my period, and a cold, and the weather sucked this weekend. Call me efficient.

OTOH, I went to watch the Championship of Zurich (http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2005/oct05/zurich05/index.php?id=3) . All the more amazing performances considering the weather!!

yikes - that road looks super slippery. Where there many crashes in those conditions?

ugh! that looks downright miserable to ride in... but then I live in Southern California where winter means a week of rain...

This is only fall - I am hoping to get another couple of weekends to ride before winter comes.

yes there were lots of nasty crashes, two or three riders went to hospital.

there was an amateur race as well, dunno how many crashes there, but then they don't descend at 80 kph no matter what the road looks like.

seeing the pros was fun. especially the owner of my shorts - Ivan Basso (http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2005/oct05/zurich05/index.php?id=112) . He quit though. Sissy.... along with 100 out of 150 starting or so.
