Without the Internet, methinks the cycling world would be a whole lot smaller and maybe duller!

Even by being on these forums and by blogging, have come across some unusual folks. For these simple polls, people provide unexpected and expected results. (Yes, will reveal soon for the one on winter cycling in 3rd wave cycling blog below.) But then there are trolls..

The reverse is true, what we know and take for granted, is "new" to someone else halfway around the world. I think of this when I blog at times.

Agreed! I've made friends and riding buddies that I wouldn't have otherwise met.

Absolutely, I love the insights that I get into other peoples' way of life, and like sharing mine too. On the plus side, at least we can block/delete/ignore trolls on the internet, woefully it's not that easy in real life.

Yes, I feel very lucky to have a chance to read about cycling in other areas.

I'm sure it will make me safer and happier if/when I am lucky enough to cycle in another area.

Very true. I found some of your critters interesting but they're just pests to the locals. I'd never heard a woodpecker in real life so I loved hearing them riding along, but apparently they're less charming outside your bedroom window at 2am, hehe.

I hope those critters, you're referring would not be bison (in one of my blogs). Uncorralled they would be a looming.."pest". :D Or maybe it's the wild hairy black pig that I mentioned in one of our ski resort visits. :p

I've heard woodpeckers before. Kinda neat actually. :)

Even a squirrel is exotic in ..Malayasia..and to a Malyasian reader.
