http://www.slideshare.net/jwtintelligence/2f-100-things-to-watch-in-2011-6306251?from=ss_embed (slide 26) According to a survey of respondents under age of 25, 11% thought it was ok to interupt ahem bedroom activities, for email, etc.

from same slideshow that I excerpted on separate post on biomimicry today.

Probably the same 11% that text and answer the phone during job interviews.

If it's between consenting adults, it's okay.

Could be done in a spirit of fun, could be both people want to know what the email says, could be a sexy email.

Interesting slideshow, by the way.

From whom?.... ? If I'm ahem the only person I'd want to be getting that e-mail from should be otherwise involved, busy ahem and not sending e-mail, text message.

"ooh, look anew message from Match dot com" I don't think so.

I agree...other...ahem....activities take definite priority over email/text messages. I am amazed that as many as 11% thought otherwise...

And just think, I was annoyed when DH first got a laptop and he was working on it in bed, while I was watching TV!
I don't even think my kids (25 and 28) would condone such behavior.

I read my email 1 x a day, late in the evening. I carry a cell phone for my convenience not others and rarely answer it, much less hear it from the bottom of my purse, during the day. If people need to reach me, they can leave a text message and or leave a message on my answering machine.

The day dh retires I plan to flush his blackberry, which starts buzzing and rattling on the bedside table at 5 am in the morning, 7 days a week, and continues after he gets home until well after dinner. He has learned not to answer it during dinner however.

The digital age while a good thing in many ways, is not good in others.
