Takes only less than 1 min. to give your opinion on poll for each of my blogs below.
Each poll is very different..you'll see. Both are fun/casual polls.
(There is the rare photo of me on bike in winter in latest post in 3rdwavecycling blog. It occurred to me that he and I seldom take photos of one another cycling when it falls below freezing.)
I can't see the polls, sorry.
I do love your photographs, especially the one with all the pumpkins. It's a bit late here and last night is catching up with me so I'll revisit tomorrow when I'm more awake.

I appreciate your feedback, hebe! Will follow up with you later.
Admittedly it's so easy for some of us (including myself) to take for granted things we see every year here in North America....like lots of pumpkins in the fall and around Hallowe'en. Whereas in other continents it's not tons of pumpkins, but something else.
If anyone else has problems seeing poll choices for answer, let me know too. :)
Yes, I don't see a poll either.

So hebe, sfa & any others if you don't see poll (on top right hand side of lst blog page) for any blog below:
Let me know which Internet browser software you are using and the version. What do you see? A blank? Let me know either here or pm me.
(I have to learn to how to do this poll thing which is pretty simple but obviously different browsers render different results.. I have to launch a 4th blog over the next few months. On cycling..totally different.)

I was able to see and vote in both polls. I also enjoyed reading your blogs while I was there and have bookmarked them for future reading. I especially enjoyed reading about the farmers markets. In our town there had not been one and I always wanted to see one here. In 2008 I was elected as township supervisor and in the summer of 2009 we opened our first farmers market.
It continues during summer months. It has been difficult to market this market however the two market managers we have had both expended a lot of effort. If any others with experience in this care to comment or share ideas I am totally open to hear how to grow the markets. I don't want to totally hijack this thread so you can PM me on it.
Back to thread again, the photos on both blogs are really good and I enjoyed them. I like your writing style.

The thread I started "BLOGGS....fantastic!" on 29 December was because I thought how most of the blogs on here are absolutely super.
I have fallen in love with the first photo on Third Wave Cycling Blog (Bike parked in snow bank. Leavenworth)
Also like the snow effect on Cycle Write Blog.
The Poll appeared fine while using Opera.
My goodness, you must be all blogged out, must take a lot of time to write. :)
aha, how silly am I, I was looking on the poll page here at TE. I have voted on the first one and will do so on the second when I've read it in more detail. Thank you for clarifying where to look!

I love the photo of the bike parked in snowbank too. Have been wanting to use it for a long time.
As for farmers' markets marketing strategy & coordination, Vancouver's organization which coordinates the effort and works with the municipality:
http://www.eatlocal.org/contact.html
MacDonald is the primary contact. She's been interviewed by local reporters.
Vancouver's markets --just more of them and increasingly successful as 2010 has shown. (Remember the vendors have to deal with rainy weekends when outdoors...)
Hope you offer bike valet parking at a market one day..
Yes Orange..for me, blogging takes some time. This is why I could only do it for subjects I enjoy writing about.

Done! Polls took their sweet time to show up in Chrome, though...
Love your pictures. Mmm, bison...
Done! I love your European cake photos, they brought back wonderful memories of a trip to Vienna.

I haven't yet been to Vienna, but I'm sure the Austrians create some elegant cakes/tortes --like the Germans and French. Of course there is the famous sachertorte. Surprisingly, Czech cuisine does NOT feature elegant cakes. It's heavier and more plain stuff...and we kept running into strudels. Nice, but it's not a cake.
My criteria list on quality tortes and cakes...is having the benefit of tasting my partner's mother's homemade elegant tortes based on traditional German recipes ...for 10 years before she died.
These are recipes that are NOT comparable at all to any of the English language pastry chef books from even the star/celebrity chefs that you see on the book market.
Linzertorte, the German torte with raspberry preserves on top with lattice top....if made with correct pastry, etc. is supposed to age over several weeks to deepen flavour after its baked.
My partner and I have scoured the cookbook shelves in bookstores over the years because he buys gift specialty cookbooks for his son-chef (who is lead chef for Toronto's community centre cooking school for troubled /hard to employ youth/folks. Something like British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver who tried to groom such youth mentorship program for one of his TV shows.)

I appreciate those of you have responded to the polls so far. Polls are still open for awhile.
The responses have been useful.. :)
