Is there a road saddle wider than 160mm?

I'm currently riding a SI Lady Gel Flow. Besides the fact that it's slightly too pear-shaped, I'm having problems that I can't quite pinpoint. I spent a little time on the trainer today, and the discomfort I felt makes me wonder if I'm perching on the frame of the saddle. 160mm seems to be on the wide end of commonly available saddles.

Besides Brooks, is there anything out there? Complicating the matter, I need a cutout.

why not a brooks? i don't know of any other than brooks but i don't know a lot about the various saddles. you can get a brooks with a cutout though if that is why you don't want a brooks.

My trepidation about the Brooks is the cost. Yeah, I know I can order one with a very nice return policy, but the cost is equivalent to half a month's rent.

I need to find a less expensive hobby.:o:rolleyes:

that is a very understandable reason.
i hope someone posts who knows something more affordable. i know there are brooks knock offs but not sure any of them have cutouts. velo orange has knock offs but not much cheaper and no cut outs so that probably won't work. not even sure any are wide enough anyway.

Specialized makes a Dolce Sport saddle in 175. It is fairly padded, so it may not work for you. It does have a cutout. It costs around $55. I have it on my Crosstrail and it works fine. I have thought about it on a road bike, but haven't take the plunge yet.

How is that saddle on your bike outside? I have heard, though I do not have a trainer myself, that they are always more uncomfortable on the trainer. I am sure that others will correct me if my understanding is wrong...

It's worse on the trainer, to be sure. (Makes sense, as you're not shifting and moving to corner and things.) It's a little uncomfortable on the road, though, for reasons I can't quite figure out, besides the pear/T problem.
