We decided that exchanging gifts is overdone for us. We don't need anything! So this year it is all about the babies!

Kegan, 16, and Tessie, 5, have had Christmas before. But Sophie, 12, and Theo, 8 mo, well, this is their first one. So it's pretty exciting!

Ok, Sophie has been busted not once, but three times, opening presents under the tree! Laurie even caught it on the video cam. I fell over laughing!

Ok, so they are anxiously awaiting Santa's arrival. He is bringing:

1. A ceramic water fountain that they can drink from (the plastic ones can cause chin acne on cats)

2. All sorts of toys, catnip, oh they will be so high!

And tomorrow, we will cook up a turkey dinner with all the fixings that they can all have a taste of...Theo enjoyed the Thanksgiving turkey.

It's a fun way to celebrate the holidays, kind of like having kids!

Happy, healthy holidays to you all!

A ceramic water fountain? Who makes those as I'd be interested one of those for our kitties. I'd actually be able to truly wash it. Since you shouldn't wash the plastic ones with soap because of some reason or other that isn't good for cats. (One reason we've gone to all stainless steel and ceramic dishes for our kitties.)

Years ago my kitties got catnip toys - and they enjoyed playing with the 'nip infused wrapping paper. Was very amusing to watch them dig through the pile of paper just to find the scented one!

My kitties are getting Krab for their Christmas dinner. Or a little bit anyway. Sshh, don't tell them.

Kitty story:
BF's family gets the cat a new set of catnip mice every year. This year, they got them from Target, along with some tape and a few other things. They put the mice under the tree (within easy kitty reach), and put the tape elsewhere. The cat found the tape that had been in the bag with the mice and enjoyed playing with it. but didn't find the mice until they decided to give him one to keep him off the tape!

I purchased the fountain on Amazon, it called the Pioneer Pet Fountain. It is unbelievably quiet and very nice looking in the black ceramic. The babies love it!

I got a sudden inspiration and mine got little catnip packets made from nori.... my male *loved* it. My little girl was a bit confused about what to do.

My cats didn't get anything this year, other than nibbles of leftover turkey. But here's what I gave my brother and his cats: http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/pets/b640
