I have several trips coming up, and I'm looking for a travel yoga mat to accompany me. I'm looking for something that will fold up small (doesn't need to be rolled), unwrinkles/uncreases well, and is grippy on both sides. I considered a Yogitoes towel, but I've read a lot of reviews that say they're slick on top until dampened. I'm not sure that's going to meet my needs...

The Gaiam travel mat looks interesting, and looks like it could serve as a yoga towel in a pinch. Any other PVC-free suggestions? Thanks!

I hadn't considered that possibility- good idea! Any suggestions for gloves or shoes/socks?

I have the Gaiam mat and like it a lot - especially being able to throw it in the washing machine. It has no padding at all, so I usually lay it over a public mat in a studio, or on carpet in a hotel room. The fabric top gives plenty of grip when my hands sweat, not so much when they're dry - but if you expect to have dry hands throughout your session, you can turn it sticky side up and it stays in place reasonably well.

You can try Khataland's travel mat. It's a real mat (not the thin ones) that's folded into a compact block. They have extra long and thick ones that are really nice. If you like a better price, you should take a look at the package deal where you can select some really high quality bottles with less cost if you buy them together. it's at Khataland.com.

Since I value traveling light, I just use the hotel towels (not the one I use for showering--the other ones; there are usually plenty) as a mat.
