This week I took the big plunge and ordered my first-ever road bike. I got it on ebay....a 2007 (I think) Fuji Finest 2.0. Got an amazing deal - $500 with shipping included and my LBS assembled for $15. I just picked her up yesterday from the LBS - the shop owner said I got an amazing deal for the money.

The description of her on eBay included: ....had a complete drivetrain tuneup. (deraileur cables replaced, all drivetrain parts cleaned in part washer) some part details, FSA triple cranks, shimano 105 Deraileurs. 9 speed cassette. Shimano Tiagra STI shifters. Carbon fork....

She was in fantastic condition and I've named her Rosey.

Got her up on the trainer and now time to learn to shift, clip in, etc. Looking forward to inaugural ride tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. I rode on the trainer for the first time today. Going to have to learn lots of new skills here - mounting/dismounting and clipping in/out....but first and foremost the different posture while riding. This is going to be fun!

You'll get used to it soon, been there done that!

It's good you're getting accustomed to it on the trainer; once you get outside it might feel a tiny bit odd again, but your body will kick in, in no time.

May you two have many happy miles together.
