Broke my ankle today

Bad day, got up for work, slipped on the stairs(one of the dogs left a ball on the stairs). Broke my ankle, having surgery tomorrow. Off work for 8-12 weeks. Already bored. Admitted to the hospital, here till Saturday. I work here at the hospital, so all my work buddies have been coming to visit - made the day go by.

Oh no! Fingers crossed for an uneventful surgery and good recovery!

When I broke mine, I spent a week on the couch. Bored out of my mind. Hopefully you can find something to alleviate that too. (TV? Books? Youtube videos that are good for a laugh?)

When I had shoulder surgery, I upped my netflix subscription to 5 at a time for one month. Well worth it!

Thanks for the warm wishes everyone. I'm not good(and used) to not doing anything. I do have a Netflix subscription, but a WII to stream Netflix on, bought a bunch of DVDs on Black Friday. I'm sure I'll be spending many hours on the internet aka TE.

My foot is twinging in sympathy for you, haven't ever had a broken ankle but did have reconstructive foot surgery - take care of yourself! I read a great deal, watched movies and did needlework. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hope the operation went well.

Thank you everyone. Had my surgery at 4p yesterday, back in my room by 630p. Those drugs sure not you out. Fell asleep last night, woke up at 1am, then got up for the day at 530am. Probably doing PT today and staying till tomorrow. I bought a bunch of DVDs Black Friday, plus I have Netflix with instant streaming. Plus I'll catch up on some novels - I've wanted to read the Twight series.
