First Road Bike-help please??

Hi all!
I have been lurking for some time, and I need some help, so I though I would come to the "experts"! For about a year, I have been riding my Giant mountain bike on the street, about 20-25 miles, 5-6 days a week. I am actively looking at road bikes, and Whew! the choices are overwhelming. I want very much to support my LBS, and the choices are Felt or Focus. Anyone out there ride a Focus Variado Expert or a Felt F85? Any advice or thoughts?

Have you test ridden either? They're both reputable brands. I haven't ridden either, but I'd lean toward the one the fit best first and foremost, then the components (if they're being sold as complete bikes) second. Color is always an important consideration, too. ;)

I'm in the process of buying a new bike, and in addition to fit, I made my choice based on the way I plan on using it (and cost, of course). That's another thing to factor in. What are you hoping to do on this bike? Charity rides, transportation, racing, touring, time trials, just plain old rides? Just some things to consider, because that will impact design features you will want.
