This news release about the research and design of the soon-to-be-released Bontrager inForm gloves popped up on my alma mater's facebook feed this morning:
http://www.engr.wisc.edu/news/archive/2010/Nov08.html

It's cool that the project was headed by an engineer who is an avid (female!) cyclist... It just seems like the structure and padding of gloves (like saddles, shorts, etc) is such a personal preference thing since there are so many little quirks to each of our anatomies. And this is apparently the same team that brought us those ergonomic women's Bontrager saddles, which I haven't exactly heard a lot of love for. So I'll be interested to see if these new gloves really do cause widespread joy. :o

I hope they don't change the gloves, because they are the only ones I can find without padding or gel. I paid full price X3 pairs I was so desperate.

You're right, gloves is a personal choice. I've tried lots and lots..

my personal favourite has to be a pair of VAUDE gloves :)

i can't really imagine they're going to come up with some universal glove suitable for everyone...
