My husband and I are going to be in Seattle for a week in October. I'm FINALLY getting to go to a Seahawks game! We extended the trip out to a week because that was the only way I could use my frequent flyer miles.

I am so overwhelmed with the amount of bike trails and maps there are out there! Was wondering if someone from the area could help me out with some recommendations?

1) We'll need to rent bikes - any suggestions as to where? We are staying downtown at the Spring Hill Suites.

2) Any recommendations on what rides to take? We would certainly prefer something that is more nature based than city based. Ray is a pretty advanced mountain biker - I'm a newbie all around. I've only been riding about 6 weeks and haven't been off road at all yet.

I'm so excited about this trip! I don't think a week is going to be nearly long enough!

are you looking for mountain bike trails?
you might want to ask in the Washington forums of either
www.ridemonkey.com or www.mtbr.com Both have very active regional mountain bike discussions.

edit: mtbr has regional trail listing by state, seperate from discussion.

also, trails.com posted below requires a subscrition to get any information.

Also, Cascade Bicycle Club (http://www.cascade.org/Home/) based in Seattle has a website with community forums. HTH. :)
