Apparently my legs do something kind of odd. At PT this week we determined that when my legs are in certain position that I get calf tension/pain - even though the calve muscles are not activated. He called it neuro....something. What is that called? Just wanted to look it up and I can't remember what he said. Even wilder is a part of one foot goes numb when my leg is in a certain position - but that foot has been taken apart and put back together so one must expect a few oddities.
Everything is feeling better - not even the pulled hamstring is complaining outside of an occasional mild ache or showing signs of inflammation. Even the back of my knee isn't complaining much..and I can't say that the poor leg is getting much rest with all of my moving activities. I can return to lower body weight lifting next week (no deadlifts) and he is considering allowing me to start working my way back on the spinning bike next week (gently). We will see...
If he should allow me to start getting back on my bike next week, I am thinking it might be best to not clip in right away. I have the idea that clipping in activates the hamstring far more than not - but is this correct? Yes, I am being optimistic, but he didn't rule it out
