Nice gesture from a driver

Tonight a gentleman pulled over next to me to let me know my rear light was barely glowing -- obviously in need of a new battery.

A small thing, but it really made me smile and I wanted to share.

In other good light news, the DOT is giving away bike lights. Tiny ones, but that's all you need in most parts of Manhattan.

That's awesome! I had a guy give me a peace sign once while I was riding by on a long 40 mile hilly thing back home (the only route with hills!).

And the light is pretty swish, too.

I like this story! I've also had a driver slow down to tell me my back light wasn't working. Nice :)

Very nice!!! We just need to remember that MOST drivers are courteous and friendly (and don't want to run us down). The actual percentage of discourteous (or dangerous) drivers is very low. Remember to celebrate the good!!
