A funny thing happened at the bike store

Not just any bike store. These are gourmet bikes - Pinnerello's, Orbea's, with Campy bits dripping off of them, gorgeous paint jobs, sleek wheels, you get the picture. Even the lighting is subdued, the sales people speak softly - almost in reverence to the gorgeous machinery surrounding them.

I've been meaning to visit this store to drool. Today I did - but made a big mistake: I brought my dear husband - who announced loudly in his best red neck tone "Honey - I don't think they carry any Huffy's in here!"

Precious. Makes you love them more, eh? :D :D I'll never forget the time in Nordstrom and whilst passing through the men's underwear section, DH wads up a pair of fancy argyle socks and places them in the underwear on the model, and not on the butt side. We giggled all the way out of the store.

Did the employees have tiny round glasses and neatly trimmed goatees? This is what my brain says they should look like... :p
