7 Miles in LA

They are closing seven miles of streets in LA on Sunday and opening them up to the bicycles! Woohoo!

Nice ... Hope lot's of people go out and enjoy. Portland had 5 Sunday Parkways events this year, each in a different area of the city. It is so great to see not only bikes, but trikes, trailers, walkers, runners, some inline skaters .... and not worry about cars!

So, I didn't make the October event, but they had it again last weekend and it was a blast. More than 100,000 people showed up to each of them, and they are going to try to do them a few times a year now.

Anyone else have ciclavia in their town?

Aw! I wish I'd known. I'll have to keep an eye on the website. It looks like it might be fun to take the Metro up from LB and ride. :)
