31 Women in the Open/Elite field is a record!! Awesome to see so many ladies showing up at that level of racing.
Flying the Stars and Stripes for the US of A we have Sally Marchand Collins and our current US National Champion (and LW Coaching athlete = exciting) Eszter Horayni. Eszter has a great blog and hopefully will post some for us. http://gooneyriders.typepad.com/gooney_riders/2010/08/go-big-or-go-home.html
Rolling along at the same time is the 24 Hour US National championships in Moab, UT. Silly to have it on the same weekend - but that is an entirely different discussion.
FYI Rebecca Rusch will be at US Natz in Moab not at Worlds in Canberra this year.

I've been following the proceedings for most of the afternoon/evening and it's quite interesting in the Elite women's field! Jess then Ester led for a couple of laps but Jodie caught up but Jess' back!
The Men's field is not as exiting..Jason English is wayyyyy ahead of the second placed dude by 23 Min!!
I look forward to seeing the results in the morning!
I hope my friend's doing well supporting her man . I think it's her first support time for a 24hr event but his gazzilionth time @ a 24hr
