I've become attached to my rapid rise shifters but my derailleur needs replacing n it's been suggested i might have to go to different shifters :(.
I tend to get really flustered with shifters & the rapid rise ones made everything easy easy.
Any suggestions..which shifters do you use??
Keeping calm & movin right along...:o

Why would you need to change the shifters? I'm pretty sure (though I would have to check) that I have rapid rise shifters working with a SRAM derailleur... Can you not get the same derailleur to work with the shifters?

The derailleurs for rapid rise and standard are indeed different. With that said, I think the quality is equally as good on either model... it's simply a preference. The rapid rise shifters/derailleur are a bit difficult to find... but ask your LBS to search for them. I have definitely seen a couple of suppliers that still had them in stock as of last week.

Thanks :)
When we bought the Titus, it was just the frame/fork as we'd look into replacing other bits a bit later. Weell...my rear derailleur keeps hitting the frame and has lost all the tension. I don't have the best integrated brakes/shifters-shimano XT but it's not a huge deal....
I am unsure how to explain what the problem is :o
I'm looking at avid brakes...
