The mad-cap x-country drive is over! We arrived in the Seattle area this afternoon after 6 days on the road, including buying 4 new tires on day one, and a need to visit a local Vet in Ogden, UT. Let's just say that Bonnie Cat was not amused with the long drive, and at 17 I didn't think it smart to wait 2 more days. She's on antibiotics and doing better. And when she's happier, everyone is having a better day.

So I'm here, with no bike equiment whatsoever. The movers packed the garage and I couldn't rescue my shoes and helmet fast enought. I had to open the "hall closet" wardrobe box to get a raincoat. Shhh, don't tell them. At least they left a roll of packing tape in the house, so I could retape the box and they're none the wiser.

But I made it. I need a stiff drink.

Congratulations on getting there in one piece! The biking can wait - you have a LOT on your plate right now. Get some rest and then dive in! :D

Well don't blame me, I didn't bring it with me. I had nothing but blue skies the entire trip, until I crossed the Cascades.

Glad you made it with not too many troubles. Enjoy, I just was visiting in Seattle a couple of weekends ago and it was a wonderful place. The public transit is great!

Congratulation on your move. I hope it was safe after replacing all 4 tires. and Bonnie cat getting sick double

I will be doing the same in just over a month time frame. Will be moving to cold and windy Troutdale Or. Hope to go riding on Old Historic Columbia River Highway from my "new" house.

I'm so sick and tired of the weather here (sunny Southern California)!! It's been cold froggedy till... well all day. And we've been having serious wind off the ocean almost everyday. Long sleeve corduroy shirt over my T. today...:D :D

I didn't think the locals wore raincoat or carry umbrellas.

Your movers packed for you?

I'm really having a time of it. Not fun.

Did you get outside during the sunshine today?

Get it while you can!

Yup, Zen, they did - one of the small advantages of having a federal move. If it didn't come with relocation, I wouldn't have applied for the transfer. Many trees were sacraficed for all the paper they used to wrap things.

Yes I did! I was so happy the weatherman was wrong. Was a beautiful day to be a tourist. I have local apples, nectarines, blueberries, and raspberries along with some cheese to counteract all the restaurant food I've eaten in the past two weeks.
