Hi all, just started cycling and I'm bruised, but happy! I have a 2010 52cm Trek WSD 1.2 named appropriately "Bruiser" since I fell twice after learning to clip in. :o I hope to learn a lot from the gals here!

Good for you for getting used to the clipless pedals from the get-go. You will be extremely happy with your decision. Treks are awesome bikes and you will put a lot of miles on your bike because you will like riding it so much.

Welcome! We all fall...we all get up. Apparently, you're still happy! Yes!!!!

Very happy! I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I'd be doing this! My bf (an avid cyclist) got me setup and we now ride 4 mornings a week... 10 miles on Fridays and Mondays, and 20 miles on Saturdays and Sundays. I can't wait to do my first half century! :D If we lived closer to each other (mine is at his place), I'd be on the bike every day of the week!

Hello and welcome! I used to have the Trek 1.2. Fun bike!
Hello and welcome!
Could you have a bike at your place too, eventually? It seems a shame to have your legs in one place and your bike in another :)

That was totally my justification for having 2.. or really 4 bikes. 1 road bike & mountain bike at the BF's & 1 at my house.

Yeah, that's what started my downward spiral into owning about 10... :o

I'm at 6, 'cause in addition to the 2 of each, I need an errand/touring bike, and then I have this project mixte that I really should just sell.

I can just hear the smile in your voice! Congratulations on your cycling success and it will get easier each time you're in the saddle. :)

Congratulations, and welcome! Have you ridden before now, or is this the first time that you have ever ridden?
I second (third? fourth?) the idea of another bike for your home so that your legs are never too far from a bike ;) :D
