Veggie weiners! Thank you to my friend Dawna for introducing me to this perfect riding food!

Yup, they don't need to be refrigerated, they don't need to be cooked, and they are a great source of protein that isn't sweet! Sometimes a girl just need a chunk of meat (or meat-tasting product)

mmmmmmmmmmmm Now I always ride with an extra weiner. ;)

Namaste,
~T~

That is just kinky on too many levels for me. I think I gotta go to confession now, and I'm not even catholic!

yes, Corsair, there was an element of seriousness in my original post....I really do think these things are a great cycling snack!

Here's a link to the ones I bought:

Now, as far as the EXTRA weiner, goes, I guess I mentioned that because, on the last long ride I did, when we finally stopped for a snack, I was so hungry I ate my weiner and then Dawna had to share hers with me!! So it is advisable to bring 2!! :) I mean, I don't always ride with a friend who has a weiner to share!

Namaste,

Actually, it's a great tip as it's a great source of protein. I love (veggie) weiners  Bit worried about them going limp in my back pocket though ...
Right, that's it - ENOUGH!

As a Catholic, I would like to say that I can not even begin to guess which Commandment would cover this...and it certainly sounds like it needs to be covered! Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's veggie weiner is one that I don't remember seeing on any official documents, but I am an older parishoner and a lot has happened since Vatican II.

Helga - LOL imagine that one in the confessional "bless me father for I have sinned I coveted my neighbours veggie weiner". :D

And since I "bat for the other team" I'm not even going to ask to share that extra weiner.

So should we offer these tasty snacks at our Menstrual Cycle Shop?

our advertising slogan could be "A weiner a day keeps the bonking at bay".

Waddya think??

SnappyPix sez "Just teasin'! (Trek) :D Knew what you meant all along!"

::whew:::

It's been decades really since I've had a weiner veg, or non veg, as I recall they'd fall right to sleep after a hard ride, hence the nice buns for carbs, one needs the energy too ya know.
  ;)
