It's time to part with my beloved Kona cross frame. I just couldn't get the fit right for me. I've transferred all of the parts onto a new frame. The frame and headset are for sale. Here are the details:

Kona Jake the Snake cyclocross bike
Size: 49cm
TIG welded frame, Easton scandium ultralight aluminum
Heatset: Cane Creek S-2

Frame has a small paint bubble where the derailleur clamp was attached. According to my local bike shop, this is quite common. You can see the details in the photo below. This was a great ride! Never crashed, never raced, and always stored inside.

Selling for $200

I'm very tempted. I've got to ponder the geometry - at first glance it looks right - it would fit better than my surly. How does a scandium/aluminum frame feel?

Scandium makes things stiffer, generally. But the tubes are short on a 49cm, so not sure how much stiffer it would be. What are you riding now (aluminum, carbon, etc)? Maybe someone else has a better answer? Sorry!
