DH & I will be there Thursday Aug 20th thru Monday Aug 23 - one of our favorite weekends of the year. Last year at the photo shoot, there were over 100 recumbents of all shapes and sizes. And with non-cycling family and friends, attendance was well over 200 people. I'm sorry I didn't post this lots sooner - don't know where my mind was.

This note very recently posted to http://www.ohpv.org/forums/ :

In a week, campers will start arriving at Fort Stevens State Park for the 12th Annual Recumbent Retreat. The 51 reserved campsites have been sold out for over a month. If you want to participate, notify our Wagonmaster, Laural. She has been busy working on arranging sharing of our reserved campsites. If you have a site and are willing to share, let Laural know by going to www.recumbentretreat.org and use the link to the wagonmaster. If you don't have a site, let Laural know you are looking to share with someone who has one. It's a bit late, but you could try to find your own campsite or motel and participate in all of the activities. All participants at the Retreat need to register. There are links on the website for other accomodations nearby.

Many volunteers have spent lots of energy to help make this the best Recumbent Retreat ever!

Todd Marley is setting up the Treasure Hunt and I am excited to start searching for the treasure boxes. This year the treasure hunt will start on Friday morning.

Jeff Wills has completely redone the ride maps. The interactive maps are available online. Just go to www.recumbentretreat.org for links to the ride maps. New maps will be provided at the Retreat.

Bob Heath has updated the Retreat website with the current schedule, information and ride links. He even added a link to "thatscoolwire.com" for any last minute ordering of battery powered lights for the light parade.

We will even have a large canopy to replace some of the small canopies so you can get out of the sun if it gets too hot.

Hope to see you there,

Bob Porter
