...and remove the "waiting for" BMC SLX01 from the list :D

After only ten months since the day I ordered it... the BMC frame finally arrived to the shop on Monday evening. I built it up the next evening and tried it out on the road yesterday.
It was definitely worth the wait! It's the stiffest and most stable bicycle I've ever ridden so far. And yes, it's the Swiss team edition so I confess to getting a bit 'happy' with the red and white... ;)
A special thank you thank you THANK YOU to RunningMommy for the advice and patience while I was waiting for the frame to show up...

Nice!

On a separate note, I noticed your handlebars and several of the riders on my Sat group rides have their handlebars angled down where the hoods look like they almost point forward? What is the benefit or fit change that makes? I have mine set the way the LBS set them where the hoods point straight up and the handle bars are flat. Just curious..

That is just B E A U T I F U L!!! So sleek and sexy and ready to jump off the pavement. You will be hard to capture on film as you go by in a blur. :)

Very nice. Of course, I'm a sucker for red/black/white bikes.

Well, in this case there is no choice on the angle because the handlebar is integrated with the stem so the angle is fixed (see the picture from the build).
BUT, yes, I tend to angle flat tops slightly downwards - mostly because of aerodynamics. That way on the flats I can rest my forearms on the flat tops and just time trial.
Not sure about what makes other people chose to set handlebars that way though...
