... When the news declares a "heat wave" because we're going to have three 90 degree days in a row (during "summer" no less). Oh man... I don't belong in this state!!

Be careful what you wish for, my friend! LOL. You should move to the DC metro area! I believe starting today or tomorrow, we are going to have four consecutive days where the temps DO NOT reach 90 (apparently, first below ninety "cold snap" time since before Memorial Day!).

No, I was saying that I'm perfectly comfortable riding in the heat, in fact I love it. My reference to it never being too hot to ride here, was actually somewhat of a complaint. Last year when it reached into the low 100s, I LOVED it! We had a great summer - plenty of hot, full sun days. This year, this summer HAS SUCKED!! It's only been 90 degrees a couple times this year. Not to mention it's been overcast most days until like 2-3pm.

oh. I see. A lot of people like you don't stay too long in Seattle because they miss the heat.

That sounds wonderful!!! :D My friend's have been trying to get me to move there or Florida when they're done with vet school. I have a hard time convincing my husband, who is not such a big fan of the heat. It's also hard to deny how beautiful it is in Washington though... and yes, I guess that is due to our 9-12 months (depending on the year) of shitty weather.

haha, unfortunately I've lived here my whole life - but I've always said I'm a California girl at heart. Usually the summers are my saving grace because generally they tend to be pretty decent, hot enough to be outside almost everyday doing something, like plenty of swimming or riding my bike. But this year has been somewhat disappointing and depressing for me. Today will be my first time swimming this year, and it's kind of a stretch that I'm going because it's not that hot. But I have to go today or I'll go insane:). I am learning to embrace the cold dry days though, and I did ride my bike outside all year round this year for the first time - which did make me appreciate the cold a little better. I'm trying!
