I figured we could all out our distances and times here. Kind of like motivation, at least it is for me.

Today, I went home for lunch, and rode 10.26 miles in 1:00.57, with just two quick breaks long enough to swig a couple long gulps of H2O. I use my HTC Evo phone with an EveryTrail app that uses a GPS.

This is my second time at this distance, the first time I went from 8.92 miles to 10.28, and it took me two days to recoup.(migraine) I've only been biking for two and a half weeks.

How far did you go today?

*Disclaimer: I realise my distance is mere peanuts to the majority of you... LOL

This is my second ride in two days after two months off of the bike because of life issues. I am exploring the ways in and out of the new neighborhood although I am familiar with a lot of the routes once I get about 5 miles out. I took a wrong turn on the way out and didn't manage to find the one end of Katy Fulshear road, so I went to where it came out on a major highway and tried the reverse on the way home. Good plan except that after a couple of miles it turned into gravel. I played little engine that could for about a mile and then decided I would play little engine who couldn't and go back the way I came before I fell and gave myself terminal road rash.

Today's stats 24 miles in 1:30. Not specatcular distance for me but a good break in ride considering that the feels like temp was 108 and the humidity is in the 80%. I love leaving puddles on the floor as I walk around the garage prepping my bike for the next ride.

Got lucky today. There were thunderstorms off and on all day today. However, the weather cleared up just in time for the shop ride. Got in 25 recovery paced miles which is just what the doctor ordered for today. Great ride!

I went mountain biking, about 9.4 miles of singletrack. See that makes your number look just fine. :p

My bike's at the shop. I went on a six-mile walk yesterday, but it's been really hot and humid of late. Luckily, it's raining, and I should hopefully have my bike back in a few days.

I logged in 10.77 miles in 1:09.46. I only took two very two gulps worth breaks.

170 miles of a double century I really had no business riding because I haven't done one in 3 years and am (for me) pretty out of shape. I had a few of the usual low moments, but it was fun and I was able to help a friend get her CA Triple Crown (3 doubles in a year).

I don't know how long it took me other than "too long". :o

Considering I am really only riding once a week right now I am happy with my ride. Did a training ride with my IM gal friend who is a rocket. We did 30 miles in 1:45 minutes with four big bridges. Super hot but a nice breeze. I'll take it.

Veronica

Which part do YOU think?? :D

My knees and right hip were screaming at mile 100 (which was weird and I would think new bike fit, but we did much harder and longer rides than that 100 miles in DR training so who knows.). We are leaving for a week long backpacking trip tomorrow and I did not want to kill my legs for some foolish double I am unprepared for, so I told my friend who I was helping get her triple crown (that ride was her third) to go ahead, and then met her after SHE did that lovely Bay Hill/Coleman loop and pulled her the last 50 miles. She got her TC and I had a good day on the bike and saw a LOT of friends.

We picked a fight with every &^#(@ hill in our county yesterday and today. 25 mi yesterday, 20 mi today, 3.000 feet of climbing. My heart says "yay me", my back says "you stink".

Yesterday I did 55.5 miles in 4:30. That is the furthest I've yet ridden, and in the first half of that there were several very steep hills. Short, but hard to see how much steeper they could have been.

Am trying not to stress over my speed. I am slowly getting faster and right now endurance and finding/unleashing my inner hill-climbing beast seems more important.

Today have no route planned - I need a recovery ride so am just going to go wherever my bike wants to go :)

8.2 miles of mountain biking, on my own! I usually do not ride alone so it was an accomplishment to have the confidence to do so. I have been really struggling mentally with a lot of problems so to have a good day was helpful on many levels. :)

eh, 50. I was supposed to be 120mi but the weather forecast changed this morning to rain, so we shortened our ride (and got soaked to the bone anyway). Sad to have shortened the ride, but there will be plenty more days in the near future to get in miles.

Good for you! I love that ride. Which direction did you go? Over Freemont or Vail first?

71 miles today...82 miles yesterday. I usually don't keep track of how long it takes...other than that we leave at 6am and try to be home by 12 noon. Today we got home by 11:15...yesterday we were home by 11:45.

Are we going to have 2 threads that discuss daily rides?
I know that we haven't had lots of "date--ride" threads, but we *do* have quite a few posters for the weekends, at least.

My apologies. I guess I didn't look far enough back in the pages before I posted this thread.

I didn't feel like riding at all yesterday. After three days off, I lost my mojo.

So, I decided to do an easy ride. 9.42 miles in 58 minutes. At least I got out...

40 flat miles with the club, up around the north shore towns of Danvers, Ipswich, Hamilton, Wenham, and Topsfield. Mostly through neighborhoods, a few rural spots that were nice. After eating lunch at Panera, we rode back to the start, at an ice cream place, where I had strawberry soft serve.

For Tuesday, yesterday, 50 miles, in a little under 4 hours. Last two miles, was not sure I was going to make it home in the heat, 96 degrees. Rode to work every day last week. Sometimes a long ride in the heat helps you work through all the stuff in your head.
