Have you ever given any thought to a grease mark tattoo? Check this one out.

You bet! I've joked about getting one on the inside of my right calf for years.

I don't need to....I reapply every time I ride! Oh, and then there's the smear from my Speedplay pedals, too...

Ha! That's pretty cool, although, it would get old with people constantly telling you that you have something on your leg.

I've thought about it, but I will be more likely to get my chainring bite scar done over in ink instead of a grease print.

I've thought about it, too. A very classic design... ;)

I prefer the traditional black. It'd be quite a conversation starter, that's for sure.

unfortunately, I would have to tatoo over the scar tissue that is there and it would just look wrong.

K-
next time you're in town I'll give you one. I can do it out of the back of the Adventure Wagon.
Just another job skill I learned in prison.

Along with making license plates, eh? I'll keep it in mind.

Hmmm, we could just ink over the scars instead of a tattoo - the scar would give it dimension :)

I think the chain ring scars on the front of my leg wouldn't look right though...

Yeah, I like the thought of dimension, that's even better.

But how realistic is that? If it's a grease mark you're after then it's got to be the legs. It's all about the effect. ;)

Your post led me to dig deeper into temporary chain tattoos. Apparently in 2006 someone named Doc from TE was selling these on eBay. They don't seem to be available any longer from her, but there are other options out there. Hmmmm....

How about a random place on your fore-arm for that "I just changed my tire in a grease-pit" look?

Now you're talking my language.

I bought 'em directly from her via her post on TE. They were great fun! I sent my last ones to a TE'er who was in hospital after a bike wreck. Gotta have a bike chain tattoo in the hospital, y'know!
