I need to get a good reference for minor repairs/maintenance and so forth. It should go beyond the very basics. There seem a fair number of choices out there, so it seemed good to ask what other women use.

So what is your favorite reference?

Here's another good option: Bicycling Magazine's Complete Guide to Bicycle Maintenance and Repair: For Road and Mountain Bikes

DH and I have the Bicycling one. It's thorough, and has lots of pictures (a must for me!). I also use the Park Tool website and Shimano's service instructions.

I used to use Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance. Now I mostly use Brian! :)

I have that one and it's really thorough, with great pictures.. I also refer to the park tool website a LOT.. it's not only helpful for seeing what to do, but which special tools you might need as well :)

Youtube is a great resource, too. You generally have to have sense of what's wrong with your bike in the first place in order to search for it, but there are some good videos on things like derailleur adjustments.

Thanks everyone - I've been meaning to get something before now... Thanks also for the online references.

I just got confused by Sheldon Brown's site - though once I learn more it will probably be easier to use. I need pictures :o :)
