I have too many road bikes and must thin the herd to make room for my new mnt bike. It pains me to sell, but I must, hope it goes to a good, loving home.

This is a custom built Medici Pro Strada frame/fork from 1982. (I actually know the guy, Gian, who built the frame and he remembers building this one because it was so unique!) Frame size is 44cm from center to top of the seat post. Top tube is 48cm C-C. Seat post is 27.2. This is a lugged frame using Columbus SL tubing, Campy dropouts, Campy Super Record BB and Campy SR headset for quill stem. It as a custom frame because of the small size and the fact is uses 700c wheels with NO TOE OVERLAP!!!! (with 165 cranks) It has a slightly sloping top tube which didn't really exist in 1982!

This bike has seen the road less then 300 miles total! Very few minor scratches or paint imperfections, more from being moved around and stored then from riding. Bike was never crashed or dropped. The paint job on this bike is near perfect as is the chrome fork. The headset and BB were removed, cleaned and re-greased, and have only 85 miles on them.

Price is $300 for frame/fork, BB, headset. I have a few other parts also if interested. We can work out shipping or pickup. Please ask any questions you might have. Please don't buy if you're gonna chop it up and make a fixie out of it! If you want more pics posted, I can do that.

That is beautiful! Makes me wish I was shorter (!?). Lucky person, whoever gets that frame.

Quick! Go test ride 44 cm bikes if you can find one. Tell your LBS "if it fits you'll be building a bike." :D Bring them beer.

I'm 5'nuthin, ride a 47 but have ridden and loved a 44. It's a good thing I am sooooooo broke or I would succumb to the siren song luring me to the rocks of "Trek, buy the bike, you'll never see another Italian lugged steel bike that beautiful in your size or close enough to it that Chris can make it fit"

What a beautiful frame! Can't justify another one right now, though.

Yikes, I log back into TE after months and months away, and there might actually be a gorgeous frame in my size for sale. I think it’s fate. At least, I’m telling my hubby that :D

Sending a pm and crossing my fingers...

That is one truly amazing frame.

Can I ask what size crank arms you normally ride?

And, presuming they ain't the standard range (165 or so), where do you get a good quality crankset in small sizes?

Thanks.

This frame ended up being too big for me, at least based on my rudimentary measurements at home. If it's still available, someone needs to grab it, so I can live vicariously. It's such a beauty.
