Ok, so you've all been warned from the title! :)
Im having issues with irritation from the tampon string. Ive tried putting chamois cremes on it to no avail. Any of you ladies have a way to make it more comfortable? Im not going to not ride for 3-7days a month!
Thanks

Tuck it up inside.

Or use a Diva Cup.

Tuck the string inside whenever you are going to do some exercise stuff. Works like a charm. :)

(This is not really my idea of 'extreme graphic'.) lol!

Ditto :) The diva cup doesn't work for me (it leaks, no matter what).. but these do. I usually one one per cycle, washing it like I would the Diva then tossing it.

Instead was actually developed by a triathlete :D

Thanks, ladies. I'll give those a shot. I have tucked, but the little bugger works its way down on long rides. :)

you can just cut it off, too.

I've been having this issue, too. And, joy of joys, I just started TOM this AM (only 22 days since the start of my last cycle, which is "normal" for me...and I hate it. I cannot wait until menopause). My first century ride is Sat.

This has worked for me, too.

Don't they make tampons without the string?

Any a similar thought...I noticed last week I had more chaffing while wearing a tampon. I was wondering it that was due to more dryness than normal or if my soft tissues are different at certain times of the month.

Both cups say they dont dry you out like tampons do, since they collect the fluid rather than absorb. I would imagine that probably plays a roll.

There is certainly a benefit to being old...
