View Full Version : Liners with thinner chamois than PI?

I have PI's baggy shorts (Elite). I love the shorts...I HATE the liner. I think the liner is getting a little large for me, and there is just too much padding. Any recommendations for separate liners from some other company that might have less padding?

I've been happy with Shebeest, but can't say how it compares to PI. I also have a skirt and knickers from Zoic that came with liner shorts, both have pretty thin chamois.
And of course, there's always tri shorts ...

I will check to see if Sheebest sells the inner liners separate from their shorts. I've been told by TE staff that Zoic shorts probably won't fit me properly...
Would try-shorts be thin enough to wear under my baggy shorts comfortably? That is what I am looking for.

I found this liner made by Cannari (http://www.rei.com/product/765678?preferredSku=7656780041&cm_mmc=cse_froogle-_-datafeed-_-product-_-7656780041&mr:trackingCode=E88A4FFE-FB85-DE11-B7F3-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA), has anyone tried their shorts or liner? It is a "gel" liner, which has me a little cautious for some reason.
Shebeest does not seem to sell inner liners separately.

IME, "gel" means "diaper". I'd be cautious too.
My favorite liner shorts are the Terry ones with the pink Flex Air chamois. Then again, my favorite shorts are Terry Bellas with that same chamois :)

Hey, Terry has maternity bike shorts! I have never seen that before :D Ok, so that isn't something I will ever need, but it was good to see that a company was thinking about this - and this is the perfect company to consider it.
I see Terry sells baggy shorts, I will contact them to see if they ever sell the inner liner separately. I love my PI baggy shorts - just despise the liner.

Is there a reason you can't just wear the shorts you like under the baggies?
If heat is an issue, check out Terry's liner shorts http://www.terrybicycles.com/product/detail/1860/current/liner-short Yes, they do sell them separately.
Or just go with plain compression shorts.

I must be overly tired, I looked at their site and couldn't find them, thanks! Right now I have only one other pair of shorts and the repeated washings are starting to take their toll on those - so I need something else to add to the mix until I can afford the bib-shorts I want.
Thanks - and I hadn't thought about compression shorts, will look into that.

$27. Great as underwear and with skirts. http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/womens/apparel/bottoms/shorts/pid1001226-Women-s-Ultra-7-Team-Compression-Short/1001226-001

Great, I will give them a shot, thanks! Certainly better than the $40 for the Terry liner short.
