What do you want to see? Whom do you want to win?
I'd love to see Cadel Evans win. I just feel like he has a lot of heart.
I'd like Hincapie and Voigt to take a stage or two. Freire or Hushovd take the green jersey.
Vande Velde and/or Leipheimer on the podium.
And no drug scandals!

I don't know what to expect. Sadly I am not an Contador fan and HOPE he does not win. His team is not that great, to support him, but I think he might could pull it all off on his own. I hope not!
I do enjoy watching the Schleck brothers (sorry for any and all my misspelling of names!)
Yes, no drug scandals would be the best. Just a good, hard, fun race!

I want to see Contador give up that stupid "pistolero" thing. Including that ridiculous "hey look at me, I have a special gesture" hat.
I'd like to see Tyler Farrar win some stages.
Looking forward to seeing France in HD again.
I'd also like to see no bad crashes or injuries.

Tyler Farrar win some stages and Thor win the green. But mostly the sprints I would like to see not just be one rider like last year.
George Hincapie win a stage (or more), he is my favorite rider and him victorious in his twilight would be awesome.
Contador crack, I just think he need some good old fashioned butt kicking to make him appear less smug.
I am not sure who I want to win but I don't want it to be a blow out. And of course no drug scandals.

I have a hunch that Andy Schleck will win.
Other than that, I'm thinking Cadel Evans and Levi Leipheimer to round out the podium. No biases at all. Nope, none. Nothing to do with the fact that BMC is based out of Santa Rosa and Levi lives there. Not at all.
I would also really like to see Garmin do well with some stage wins.
I reserve the right to change my predictions after the first week though... or really the first few days after they've raced on the cobbles. I have a feeling that Contador isn't going to do well and may crash out since the pack will be a nervous mess and supposedly he's never raced on cobbles (these true cobbles) before.

I heard that he (Contador) is already alienating some of his team members. The cobbles may instill a little humility in him.

This will be the first time that I will be paying attention to the TDF. I've always been so much of a workaholic in the past that even if I might have been interested in it I did not have the time.

Here, here! Although I sincerely don't believe he has what it takes to win another one anyway. Every magazine on the planet right now has his picture on the cover. I know he has done good for the sport (mostly), but there are A LOT of other REALLY good riders out there.
And I'm so not looking forward to the Lance/Alberto soap opera.
I'd like to see Christian do well, but after his crash in the Giro, I'm not sure he's up for it this year. And Tyler taking away from Cav might put some humility into him.

Ha!
Before the Tour of California, a local news anchor tweeted asking people what ToC related stories we'd like to see. Someone responded with, "Anything Lance." I was so irritated!
I tweeted back many different story ideas, none of which they used.
When the Floyd Landis story broke and I reminded the anchor of my idea about Bike Pure riders (including names of riders) and said it would be a great way to show that respected guys in the peloton were speaking out against doping every day.
They never did the story.
Because, you know, all Lance, all the time. Ugh.

Actually I'd love to see Jani Brakovic (I know I spelled that wrong) give Contador and the Schlecks a run for their money.
Also am looking forward to seeing Chrs Horner's smiling face as he paces his team leader up the climbs, whether it's Lance, Jani, Levi or Kloden.

Me too! I love his blog reports. He really puts you in the peloton.

After his win in the Dauphine I was really hoping he'd get picked for the Tour team. I'd like to see him do well too.
As much as I hate all the Lance press, part of me hopes he does well. He's old - like me. :D Actually, I'm older. But it's nice to see "old" people still doing well in professional sports.

Kinda fell in love with Fabian Cancellara (sp?) after the Paris-Roubaix--talk about your cobblestones. Also Tom Boonen for the eye candy.
Mostly, I'm hoping for clean.

Yeah, that's where I am, too. I know the Lance lovefest is annoying, but it still is cool to see someone out of the conventional age bracket compete at a high level.
I would like to see Tyler beat out Cav!

I agree, too. I do wish they (VS) would focus on some of the other riders more, but I still like hearing about Lance's accomplishments. I'm interested in all of them! Since I have never been much for following sports stars or any famous type people, just the fact that I am paying attention is good.

Unfortunately, Boonen isn't riding the tour this year because of a knee injury. I hope Quickstep can have some good results without him.

I would like to see someone go out on a long solo breakaway and then weep with joy when he wins.
I love that.
