this is the email I received from peopleforbikes.org (http://www.peopleforbikes.org/)
Thanks for signing the peopleforbikes.org
pledge. We're now one person closer to uniting one million voices for the future of bicycling.
Your voice will help build a national movement with clout and influence. Our unified message – that bicycling is important and should be supported – will resonate with leaders, the media and the public. We’ll work to ensure that new, cost-effective investments are made in bicycling facilities such as bikes lanes, trails, bike-share programs, and more that will benefit us now and well into the future.
To help reach these goals, there are three things you can do right now:
1. Tell your fellow riders to sign the pledge.. You can spread the word
through email, Facebook, and Twitter.
2. Share your story. Help us explain the joy and benefits of bicycling -- tell us why you ride
.
3. Keep track of the latest news. Our website features a map that shows the latest pro-bike initiatives and victories across the country. Check out the map
, and see if there's something happening near you.
Just like we power ourselves on two wheels, bicycle riders will power the peopleforbikes.org movement. The future of biking is up to us.
Thanks, and stay tuned to learn what's next for peopleforbikes.org.
