Back when I first decided to buy a bike, I decided to make my first event the 2010 N.I.T.E. Ride (Navigate Indianapolis This Evening). This is a very large and fun event, this year over 3,000 people are participating in this midnight 20-mile ride - and lots of other things are associated with it.. Things progressed, and I've actually already been in two events (25 and 26 miles each), so it isn't my first event.
However I can't ride tonight :( I will go, and probably volunteer doing something after the bike races are over at the Velodrome. It is this saddle problem with my Brooks...
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, rode 15-16 miles last night, another 30 this morning - and am now quite saddle sore. I just tried a test spin on my other bike to see if that would work.... nope! Things are just too sore Hopefully things will have calmed by tomorrow and I can ride.
Part of me still wants to take my chances, but I WOULD like to ride tomorrow...and walk, and sit, and so forth :rolleyes:
My fitter tells me that my test SI Diva Gel Flow will be here Thursday and Friday we are going to install it so I can test it over the holiday weekend. I have a 4-day weekend to play, and two weeks to check the saddle out before I decide.
If anyone IS attending tonight - have fun! I will be working an information table for a couple of hours for Indy Connect if you happen to see it!
