I know it's random of me to post this here, but it's just exciting. I now have a date set to take the Acute Care NP certification exam--August 2. That gives me a decent amount of time to review thoroughly but doesn't delay things too much. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised to get the notice of eligibility in the mail today--I thought it would take a lot longer (and it can). Of course, I went online and signed up right away. As for the job search, it's still going. I've at least gotten some phone calls and emails and there are a couple of places where there is potential to get interviews. Maybe things will pick up once I have actually taken (and passed) the exam. I'm not finding as much in the Northeast as I was hoping, so have applications in the pipeline in a bunch of other places too.
