Does anyone have the Sackville SaddleSack XS from Rivendell (http://www.rivbike.com/products/show/sackville-saddlesack-xs/20-130)? I know the name appears to have "extra small" in the name - but the pics on their site appear to show something that looks far from small to me! I think that the green version would be perfect for my LHT. For $50 however, I wanted to ask about it.

Is it worth the money? I want something that will be at least water-resistant, be roomy enough to hold more than just my tire-change tools, and look good on my bike.

Eventually I am planning on getting racks and pannier - but that will be awhile after my recent expensive bike conversion.

It gives the measurements, so here's what you can do. Find something about the same size, purse, box, whatever and hold it up to the back of your bike to see if it suits you. Have you looked at Zimbale bags (http://zimbale.com/Front/Mall/?url=Comintro&)? I just got this one (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/bags/zimbale.html#compact) and I love it. I finally found the bag I wanted.

Oh, and yes, the canvas bags are worth it, and I agree that it would look good on your LHT. Not sure you would want to snorkel with them, but they do have a coating on them.

It must mean "Extra Sweet," as it is really cute.

It is, isn't it? If I decide it is large enough for me - and it LOOKS like it is, I will get this when I can.
