This is identical to a post I made in the slowtwitch Women's Forum.

Would anyone be interested in participating in creating a shared reference Excel spreadsheet with some recommended saddle types for all of us?

I have created a document at http://spreadsheets.google.com/...MxOWhkb1E&hl=en. Feel free to modify the document with extra columns, etc. and also to only fill in information you are comfortable sharing (weight is a personal issue--wasn't sure if I should include it or not). You will notice there is no column for our names :-)

Hopefully this makes it easier for us to share recommendations without scrolling through a dozen archived posts on saddles.

Thank you!

For all we know, what type of bike is one of the variables ... since none of us can get to the file, who knows?

I would welcome a spreadsheet that would show me, for instance, what saddles are more T-shaped than my Jett.

The link. Sorry about that.

I do realize that every person is different, yada yada yada. And yet, people do ask whether others can recommend a saddle. So this is only a centralized location for some recommendations.

Just an idea. I hope it works. I know I get frustrated scrolling through and searching for the gazillion postings on the same question.

Regarding the sit bone measurement, here is a thread on how to measure: http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showthread.php?t=2372

I used the method of sitting on a piece of paper on concrete, then measuring the distance between the two indentations created by the sit bones.

I added mine. I have no idea what my sitbone measurement is, so I don't think my entry will be very helpful. Since I'm happy with my saddle, I won't be measuring my sitbones any time soon.
