I've been training this spring and for the first time in about four years I believe I am ready for a century! And this is early for me!

How about you?

I will be riding in my first century, the Peninsula Metric (http://www.twbc.org/Default.aspx?pageId=564977&eventId=131672&EventViewMode=EventDetails) on Sunday, June 6th. And my second century will be the following week when I ride in the annual Flying Wheels Summer Century (http://www.cascade.org/EandR/flying/index.cfm) on Saturday, June 12th.

Any one else doing either of these rides?

I'm always amazed how modest you are! Of course you're ready for a century! I'm planning on doing the apple century, but by your standards I might not be "ready" for it. But I'm sure I'll finish it. and I'll probably be pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the time it takes me to finish too....

I second that Sue... I think you are definitely ready for a century. That Peninsula one has a ton of climbing, a little bit too much for me at this point, or else I would join you:) I don't think I'm quite ready for a century yet. Maybe one that was flat, like <3,000 feet. But that's unlikely to find something like that. A few more long distance rides though, and I think I'll be there. They say if you can do 75% of a given ride in your training, than you're ready for the real thing, right?

The Apple Century in Wenatchee is maybe 2000 of climbing max...
