Hi All,

I decided I want to raise some money on the heels of my first-time one-day STP (http://cascade.org/EandR/stp/index.cfm) endeavor, but I couldn't find a team cause already in existence with which I felt a deep connection. So I have set up a team page to support the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/). (I am a military brat and know quite a few folks in the military!)

If you would like to join the team, please do. I use the word "team" loosely to mean that there will be no support wagons or catered lunches; just a group of us riding the same ride supporting the same cause. It always help to draw support for a cause when there's more visibility.

There's no minimum fundraising required, but it is a fundraiser, so I'd like to request that you make it your goal to raise $202 - $1 for every mile of the ride. But if you just want to contribute $50 of your own money, that will work too. Any amount you or your supporters contribute will be appreciated, and contributions are tax-deductible.

The only real requirements are that you already have an STP registration (because it's sold out) and that you buy a team jersey. (Visibility for the cause!) I am in the process of designing a very simple one now. It will likely be a semi-custom and not terribly cheap since I'd like to have it delivered before the Flying Wheels (http://cascade.org/EandR/flying/index.cfm) ride, but I'm trying to keep the cost somewhat reasonable. If you join up and let me know what size you want (and get me the funds) before I order mine, I can try doing a group order to save money on shipping if nothing else; otherwise, it will likely be up to each person to order their own. (I will order from a place with no order minimum.)

To join the team (or contribute), visit Team Giving Back to Those Who Gave (http://WWPProudSupporter.kintera.org/stpforwwp).

Send me a private message if you have any questions or would like more info.

See y'all out there!
