Okay, so I neveeeeeeeeeer have enough time to post here or even read this for the most part. I will try to do better.

Quick story - I swapped out my road wheels and put them on the cross bike to do a hilly workout (geared lower). The cross saddle tore me up. That was last Tuesday. I've taken it easy on her and didn't ride for a few days but then rode the mtb on Sunday getting about 40 miles on the trail. Now it stings and is a little raw.

I've put neosporin on it a couple times hoping it will just go away but I've got a 12 hour mtb race in TN this weekend and I'm starting to freak out it's going to be a painfest "down there".

Any ideas? I don't wear underware as it is and I've been wearing light airy clothes at work trying to get her healed.... If you give me some good answers, maybe I'll come back here and tell you how awesome my life has been the last couple months. (if any of you recall - my fiance left me about 5 months ago). Now that I've had some time, I AM SO GLAD HE LEFT even though I no longer get all my bikes at cost. :D

Umm - ouch! Been there and felt that too after 24hour MTB race.

Best fix I found was the zinc baby butt cream (Curash brand here in Oz, but not sure what the equivalent brand would be there). It's icky, sticky, thick and white, but copious quantities on the nethers saw rapid improvement and then I used it as lube during the following rides too (on advice from a longtime rider). Worked a treat.:)

I don't know about healing up quickly but I have had to protect sore spots at multi day races. It makes a mess, but diaper cream (zinc oxide) does work. Whatever you use, I'd guess you'll have to apply it multiple times, so go prepared.

(edit)ha - I see great minds think alike
