I'm having trouble reading threads, though I can see the New Posts and post a reply generally without trouble. Anything that takes me into reading a thread, I'm getting a lot of 503 Service Unavailable errors. Right now, I pretty much can't read any thread, they all give the error. When I first came in this morning, though, I was able to load up several.
Is it just me? Maybe something about my browser acting weirdly, or clicking more often is just making it worse? ;)

I've had this problem - several times. After fairly extensive testing by my computer guru (DH), he determined that a TE Cookie is getting corrupt. Logging out and logging back in has worked every time for me.

Curious. Thanks for the advice, Blueberry. I'll try it.

I'm not getting the errors - but if deleting the cookie doesn't help, try clearing your cache, then quit out of the browser and re-launch it. Those two things solve most browser issues.

It's not happening to me at work, which tells me it is a browser issue. I've never seen one manifest itself in quite this way (and I am ashamed to admit that I work in IT/software/networking). I wouldn't have expected a server error to reflect the browser like that. It just goes to show you learn something new every day. ;)

It only showed up on one of my computers for a while. After I logged out and back in, that computer has been fine. Then another computer had the problem. I've had it on IE and Mozilla (under XP and Linux).

I had one user PM me last week about a similar issue but we thought we had it tracked down to a keyword-based firewall filter at her place of employment. This makes it seem like that may not have been the case.
If anyone else is experiencing these errors, please let me know so I can debug the problem and determine if it is something that is happening on the forums server.
Thanks!
Jeff

Hey Jeff-
I just had it happen again this AM. I'm running windowsXP pro/Firefox 3.6. Logging out and back in fixed it.

Was just happening on my laptop here at home - I cleared all of my forums.teamestrogen.com cookies without logging out except my username/password cookie, reloaded the pages with the 503 errors, no problemos.
Firefox 3.6.3/Windows XP SP2 :)
