If anyone is interested, Lance will be on Larry King tonight talking about the lastest attacks in 1999....My thought on this is who else tested positive and why wasnt all the positive results publicized?

Another question to ponder . . . apparently, these alleged results arrived in 2004 . . . why wait until AFTER the 2005 Tour to reveal "their" findings? I find it somwhat unforgiving, as the French continue on their odyssey of destroying LA. Their ridiculously obsessed. But, they've surely begun marketing for next year's Tour, because their main attraction, their piece of the pie, will be on the sidelines. They aim to lose a great deal of revenue now that Lance has retired.

And the shame of that is Lance really wants the popularity to stay. He truely loves the sport and all that the tour brought him.........
Bitter Bitter Bitter is all I can think of
Could it be that the french know that no countryman of theirs will beat the record so they want to tarnish it???

One of the things is that the lab results were based on code number, and the lab had no way of knowing whose was whose. It was L'Equipe who discovered that one of the code numbers supposedly belonged to Lance, so that is the part that happened recently.

the thing that blows my mind about this is that even the LAB themselves say they have NO PROOF of who's sample that is... if they cannot say that the numbers matching means something then who is LeBlanc or L'Equipe to say it's a given that it's LA sample? Un-freakin-believable. This man has been tested more than any rider ever... and every allegation has proven unfounded... it blows my mind that they're still looking for dirt on him... where's the head shaking in disgust emoticon???

And, the test itself is tainted. It's a known fact that EPO is not stable in a urine sample after about 3-4 months. These samples were at least 5 years old. Also, the 'custody' of the samples cannot be traced - in other words, there is no way of proving that they were not tampered with, and certainly there is no way of cross-checking because the 'A' samples are no longer available. Witchhunt.

There also is a repeat tonight of the Charlie Rose interview with Lance from just after this years TdF.

Watching that interview yesterday, it just breaks your heart for someone who played by the rules, and knows it in his heart also knows that the question now will always be over him and there is no real way to clear this up.
That really sucks and I hope Karma rears his ugly head on the jerks that did this....

All I could do was shake my head when I heard the "report" news. It's really a shame that they have to dig so much and stretch it so far to try to make him look guilty.

On an aside, did anyone else read the story about how they're considering making caffeine a performance enhancing drug in cycling and banning it? Jeez could you imagine.....no jittery joes??? :D

This latest thing with Lance makes you wonder even more about TYler now. I mean maybe he was screwed by WADA also.

In my view, this is simply anti-Americanism. They know LANCE propped up thier main event for 7 years and brought God knows how many millions into their weak economy...

When asked about Lance, Raymond Poulidour said "Hell! why don't we go back and test everyone since 1903!"

chainsoflove... hubby and i were talking about that on the way home this evening....

i still believe lance... i mean... why would someone who almost died... who understands how important a body is... take drugs?

and notice that he only got better over the years? i mean.. if he were taking drugs in 99.. wouldn't he have gotten slower without them in 2000+?

it's so obviously a witch hunt
