I want a pair of bib shorts, and have been looking at our hosts offerings. I really like the Giordana (http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodGI_WBIBFRCA.html) - especially where the straps are, that there would be no clasp across the girls and there is little material on the back. As a new rider, however, the cost is a little much to justify :(

That brings my selection down to the less expensive Giordana (http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodGI_WBIBLASE.html) and PI (http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodPI_0475.html) bib shorts.

I am a little concerned about that strap across the boobs for the PI shorts, but I understand the sizing of PI shorts as I have a regular pair of their shorts as well as their baggy shorts.

The problem with me and sizing charts is how I am built. If you go by the numbers, I am an x-large in the waist and a medium in the hips. I can wear PI medium shorts with no problem. I know that TE has a generous return policy if something doesn't fit, but am preparing to go on vacation and want to try my best to get it right the first time :)

Does anyone have experience with Giordana bib shorts/sizing? I figure I can remove the PI boob clasp if it bothers me... Choices, choices...

Try calling the folks at Team Estrogen and ask them about sizing for the Giordana shorts. They're very knowledgeable about their products.

I have a pair of PI PRO bibshorts, and trust me...that little clasp across the boobs is NO BIG DEAL. Infact, I actually like it. I wear mediums in all of my PI bottoms, and that also held true for the bibshorts. The #1 thing that I LOVE about my bibshorts...NO UNCOMFORTABLE WAISTBAND! No digging, no folding over, no stupid drawstrings, no need to constantly pull up or readjust...I simply LOVE 'em. Then again...I have a bit of a tummy "pouch"...so I love how the bibs hold everything in nicely. :D

I loooooove the Giordana bibs. In fact, that's what I'm wearing in my profile picture!

Buy according to your hips, not your waist. There is no "waist" on the bibs to feel snug or bind. If you buy by your waist measurement, you are asking for trouble in terms of fabric shifting around. Shifting fabric = chafing.

That is what one of your staff people just told me, she was very helpful :) I am going to order the Giordana laser bibs tomorrow. Picking a proper pair of capris, on the other hand, is proving more interesting. I think that I've settled on these (http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodSU_47360FBL.html) as something that has a chamois but that I can wear into the government building I work in.
