This story (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/04/25/nyregion/spokes.html) highlights five NYC cyclists. I do worry about a couple of them -- no helmet in some cases, and one guy seems to think it's fine to drink all the wine you want if you are biking home after dinner.
There's a nice balance of age, race and gender, and the city's DOT Commissioner apparently is a bike commuter, which I didn't know. The racer says biking helps with his Hodgkin's lymphoma. The wine-drinking guy has suits custom-tailored for biking. And I love the commuter who has a rubber band around her pants leg.
