Well TE'ers, I've been away for a while. I had my shoulder surgery in Dec and am mended beautifully. Some of you know that just after I started riding last spring my trusty rusty friend was solen as was my hubby's bike and our oldesn't son's dirt bike. Still, I rode when I could a horible bike that should have been buried and flowers planted around it. Well, Sunshine has finally come!!
Today, I am now the proud owner of a Specialized Dolce Triple!! I'm just smitten!!! I'm so excited. I will post a pic soon.

Thanks for the welcome back and congratulations!
Yes, winter was long but spring has sprung in the PNW!!

Biker Hen, I plan on doing the 8 lakes ride. but I'm itching to find trails and would love to go on a weekend ride with you! If you know of any other rides in our neck of the woods let me know I hear there's one in wine country that is great.

The bike I got is a Dolce Triple I will post a pic of us when she gets home from the bike shop.

Man I missed you girls!

Well, since you asked, a group of us are doing this ride in Leavenworth on May 23rd. www.munchenhausbikeride.com We always say the more the merrier! We're riding for the fun, food and free beer at the end, not speed. :p

I won't be doing 8 Lakes this year. :( I'll be in Canada on a bike tour. :D I can however hook you up with the gals in my bike club who will be doing the ride. bikerHen

Hmmmm I wonder if I can persuade my husband Joe to go to Leavenworth that weekend. His knee replacement surgery is the following weekend. I can tell him he can drink beer (he LOVES beer) while I do the ride?! I'll run it by him tonight. :D

I'm originally from SE Washington. Tri-Cities.
Moved to GA in 85. I still miss the light, dry air. Humidity here is soooo heavy. I also miss the wide open vista views. You can barely see across the street in GA. It is almost claustrophobic. It really gets to me when I read about all the pacific northwest rides on TE. They sound so inviting.

Congrats on the new bike.

None of us have done this ride before, but how bad can a ride be that has free beer at the end? :D It's a pretty area and I hope not too many big climbs. There are 5 or 6 of us going from my cycling group. We're driving over on Saturday, to enjoy some touristy stuff, camping at the local KOA, then do the ride and drive home on Sunday. We're planning on a fun weekend complete with Saturday night BBQ and dare I say a few adult beverages! bikerHen
