Saw this in the Talbots catalogue--I'm tempted, DH says No Way!

if it were an a-line skirt and something i could actually wear on my bike, i'd be tempted! but that super slim pencil-skirt cut, nope. but hey, they have capris and bermudas in the same print. hmmmm.

Talbots has not moved much from the 1980s whale prints, have they? If you're going to wear something from Talbots, I guess this would be the best choice...
(sorry Talbots folks...they are just a little too preppy for my taste these days)
On second thought, I could see the bermudas working for me (in a funky kindof way)

The 1980s preppy prints are back in a big way or at least they were last summer. My favorite is a black polo shirt with mini skulls and cross bones all over it instead of whales :) I find myself strangely drawn to the preppy prints again (though I haven't actually brought myself to buy any); perhaps i'm just being nostalgic for my grade school years!

Ah yes, well, I'm never one to be very much in fashion. In this case, it's probably a good thing. :)

To truly appreciate this, you have to click on the Alternate View photo.
If I stood around like that for very long, my back would hurt too much to ride my bike...

Am I missing something? How is that a bike skirt? It looks like it would be impossible to move my legs and pedal in it.

It's not a skirt FOR biking, it's a skirt about biking! You have to zoom in to see but the print is tiny little bicycles.
Not my style - but definitely cuter than whales! :p

Apparently the cute shirt-dress (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:VXUtgbmHV2EJ:www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp%3Fid%3D023071%26navAction%3Djump%26navCount%3D+anthropologie+wheeler+dress&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) from Anthropolgie with all the pennyfarthings printed on it is already gone from the website. :(
-- gnat! (was waiting for it to go on sale)

Gnat it is on sale..at least what I can see now (unless the screen is different for Canadians).
Off-topic: It's been 10,000 yrs. since I checked on the latest fashion dresses, tops. Anthropologie has some great, wonderful stuff. Unfortunately I'm so picky that I need to try any dressy blouse, dress, skirt in person before buying. Usually 90% of the time, I have to alter something.

the kelly green skirt?
OH
MY
Someone would actually wear that?
I could see the fabric done up in child's clothes, or a tote bag, but an adult woman's??? What were they thinking?

They were thinking of summering in Newport. Men still wear those whale pants here. Ugh.

This one is standing like The Incredible Hulk (http://www1.talbots.com/online/browse/product_details.jsp?id=prdi24461&rootCategory=cat70014&catId=cat830043&sortKey=Default§ion=Regular&conceptIdUnderSale=cat70014). Seriously, who was in charge of posing some of these models? It certainly doesn't make me want to spend $$ there. :p

I didn't see this model when I looked yesterday. She looks like she's waaaaay too tuckered out to stand up straight - or she needs some chocolate ;) All joking aside, someone DID put her in that position...

The blue shirt model reminds me of the marathon runner who limped across the finish looking like she'd had a stroke. 1984 LA Olympics, I think.

She can't help being slumped over to one side, because her one arm is six inches longer than the other. LOL!
Ok, that green bike skirt is something I might wear.....when I'm dead maybe! LOL!!! :D ;)
