I just got home from driving to pick her up... will post actual pics tomorrow, but she's a 2008 Felt FW40 and it's *perfect* - everything I was looking for in a road bike, a great deal, and the right size despite the fact that I was worried it may be too small (it's not.. if anything the reach is a smidge long.. but I think I need more time/miles on the bike before I decide that) I can't wait to get her out on the road tomorrow.. gotta swap out the saddle and the pedals, and then I'm off :D

It only took 9 months of wanting/looking and several really good deals that were very hard to pass up because they weren't *quite* the right bike.

I was really close to buying a new Trek.. and in fact if I hadn't found this Felt I probably would have been headed to my LBS for their spring sale this weekend.

I test rode a few Felts earlier this week and was very impressed. You can probably swap out the stem if the reach feels too long?

Cool! I've been looking for some ways to accessorize my LHT when it arrives. I am currently leaning to use green as a complimentary color for it, but will better know when I see that blue in person :D

Yes, I was eyeing that pink argyle, it looks awesome! I was thinking of the orange Serfas with flowers though, because it's much bigger. Right now I have the larger of the timbuk2 saddle bags and it's way too small to carry anything useful. If I don't find something I like at my LBS when I take this thing in for a tune up later I'll definitely be getting the serfas from TE :)

I also spotted this bar tape (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300409314510)on ebay and had to buy it.. I was thinking solid orange at first but that looks fun :)

Maybe look at the soma hemp bags - they have sort of a copper/orange sun embroidered on them as an accent.

But I use one of the timbuk2 seatbags - I can fit a spare innertube, my headlamp, my bike tool & chain tool & my keys in it easy. I can look up what size I have?

Yeah, the problem is that I have to carry waaaay more than that - I'm diabetic :p So in addition to energy for the ride and the typical bike stuff, I have to carry my meter and emergency glucose (because Gu doesn't act fast) and that takes up room too. I don't like stuffing too much junk in my pockets.. so between my current fuel box and seat bag there just isn't enough room.

I've been looking for some new bar tape for my red Bike Friday, and that bar tape is AWESOME!! I'm going to have to buy some. I'm tired of my boring black.:)

I just put green camo tape on the bars of my olive green LHT. It looks really, really good. I need to retape my road bike bars and have been looking for something to spice it up. Thanks for the link. I will be ordering one of those fun colors too. I love that red/orange tape (it will look awesome on your orange bike) but may have to go with the multicolored one for my black road bike. bikerHen

No pics until tomorrow.. I forgot to take some before I took it to the shop, but I won't forget after I pick it up tomorrow :) My super cute flowered saddle bag is here too.. and I think it's *plenty* big for what I need.. and I like that it has so many spaces to stash stuff so that I'm not going to be trying to cram everything in together.

The tape is not here yet.. but I'm not sure if I will strip the old tape off right away or not, because the tape that is on there still looks really good. But it will be ready and waiting :)

Yay, pics FINALLY.. my bar tape came yesterday but it was rainy and yucky so I didn't get a chance to take pics until today.. isn't she PRETTY! :D

I wasn't sure about my Honey colored brooks on there (I was thinking black at first) but I think it looks fine now... the saddle bag (ordered from TE) is SUPER cute, and while I wasn't so sure about the bar tape once I saw it, I couldn't help but put it on right away.. and I think I really like it now ;)

I'm thinking I need new pedals.. those are my blue Crank Bros Candy's from my trek... but the SL's come in back and orange, so I think my bike needs some in black and orange :p
