Just wanted to check in and see how all my old friends are doing? and sorry I haven't been around in a while. Just busy with life and family. All has been good. Hubby recovered from ACL surgery with flying color's and getting back to cycling ASAP made all the difference in the world. On a trainer first of coarse. He was supposed to be in rehab for about 6 months and after 6 weeks they let him go. So that is awesome. And he is 52 so go figure. He is a healthy guy! Cat's are all good. Lorelei is still stable, we had a wonderful visit in Orange County a couple weeks ago. Really fun. But got a glimps at having sick child and how demanding it can be. My heart goes out to my saint of a sister. Have had some wonderful rides when weather has permitted. And yea so life is not bad these days. Doing a sculpture inn DC next month. Never been. Really looking forward to doing some site seeing. We are going to make a vacation slash job out of it. Ummmm ok that is about it right now. Oh I am totally into Kombucha. My husband says it smells like gym socks. Love it. Ok I will stop now. You?

Hi Brandy. Good to hear from you. You should have a blast in DC. You can never get enough of being a tourist in Washington. I hope you have enough time to at least hit all of the major spots.

Shesh I come back write one thing then leave what a loser! Glad to see not much has changed even though I am sure I have missed out on a lot. DC was a blast! Got to see a lot! Walked till our feet were screaming! One of my fav things was to see Julia Childs kitchen. What a treat that was! The weather was perfect while we were there too. Also had an amazing (and expensive) lunch at the American History museum. They use local stuff. Very yummy! So how is everyone's animals and family?

Brandi, lol. You always lift my spirits. :) Can't wait to hear about your D.C. adventure and you know you'll have to post pics of your magnificent sculpture. There is soooo much to do and see and hopefully you'll have the opportunity to lunch with a few TE'ers.

Hey Brandi! missed you around the boards!
I have a new A/C system, as of yesterday. :D Which pretty much kills any vacation budgets. :( Bonnie cat had to get in the way too and inspect their work if the guys stepped away for more than a minute or two. The other two kitties were hiding under the bed just wanting it to all go away.
I'm recovering from a bike wreck, torn MCL in my knee. I've been riding a bike in PT, but so far not outside yet. Can almost walk normally again, but have trouble decending steps.
My plots to escape New Orleans before hurricane season haven't quite worked out, but I have another job application in for Seattle.
Do we get to see pictures of your latest projects???? Glad to hear Lorelei is doing OK.

Funny but i need to say the sculpture we did in DC was just ok. Not great. Wow what is the mcl? How did you hurt it bmccasland? Did you have surgery? Our wind has been so bad here all I can do is is my trainer in my back yard. But I like my back yard.
My favorite thing to see in DC besides the normal stuff was to see Julia Childs kitchen. Way cool! Love her!

It's the tendon on the inside side of your knee. Slow moving car vs bike crash. There's a thread on TE somewhere about my crash. No surgery. I see my Orthopedist today for another follow-up.
Julia Child's kitchen! Cool! is right! Were there food samples?? How can you have HER kitchen without samples??? :p
